Thank you for your interest in hosting an Alumni Reading! Below you will find a few details and guidelines to help you plan.
Overview
Friends of Writers helps support alumni events that bring together graduates of the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College and Goddard College to share work, reconnect, and continue building vibrant literary communities.
There is no one-size-fits-all model for FOW-supported gatherings. Past events have included salon-style readings, panel discussions, craft talks, book launch celebrations, potlucks, and more. We encourage you to shape an event that reflects your community—make it your own, and have fun!
Friends of Writers Media Kit
To support local alumni initiatives, FOW provides a media kit that includes:

FOW is able to provide a limited number of modest stipends of $150 to cover costs. Please reach out to Nuha Fariha ([email protected]) if you would like to request support.
FOW is able to provide in-kind donation letters for in-kind contributions such as space, catering, beverages, or other non-cash goods or services donated to the event. Reach out to Nuha Fariha ([email protected]) to request an in-kind letter.
