Kill Class

The story says we are in the country of Pineland: grassy roads curving in, named
for longleaf pine, loblolly pine. Sassafras, black gum, slash pine
clethra sharp as pepper, shallowing
the land’s breath.

The story says I join the guerillas.
The story says I carry this tent in.
