AWP 2025

Alumni and current students of the MFA Program for Writers at WWC planning to attend this year’s AWP Conference in Los Angeles are encouraged to volunteer for a shift (or two!) at the program’s booth in the conference Bookfair.  The Bookfair will be open daily Thursday, March 27th to Saturday, March 29th from 9:00 to 5:00. We seek volunteers for one- or two-hour shifts to answer prospective applicants’ questions and to talk about how this program and its community have informed and sustained your writing lives.

Interested alumni and students should contact our Bookfair staffing coordinator, Alyssa Beckitt at [email protected], with any questions. Feel free to sign-up directly via this Google Sheet.  We appreciate your help encouraging future Wallies our way. Our booth is located at #714.

And, for all faculty/students/alumni attending AWP:  PLEASE JOIN US AT SONGBIRD CAFE located at 900 N Broadway #1050 at Blossom Plaza Los Angeles, CA 90012 for our private Wally reception from 7pm to 10 PM on March 28th. There will be a cash bar; light refreshments will be provided by FOW and the Program.
