Can you tell me how these essays came together to form a book?
Peter Turchi
Though there isn’t one overarching notion that connects this group, I did use personal anecdotes to introduce the essays and illustrate my points. I wanted to make clear that the topics aren’t unusual technical notions that only apply to fiction writing. They’re drawn from real life. And what I’m interested in—in terms of realistic fiction, anyway—is making sure the world of fiction is as rich and complicated as the world around us.
